In Ontario, a private school may legally operate without Ministry inspection. Only schools that voluntarily submit to the Ontario Ministry of Education’s inspection regime, and pass, earn the right to issue credits toward the OSSD. Every credit earned at USCA is legally equivalent to a credit earned at any Ontario public school for the purpose of OSSD graduation and OUAC university applications.

What is the OSSD and why does it open every door?
The Ontario Secondary School Diploma is the standard graduation credential issued by the Ontario Ministry of Education. It is accepted by every Canadian university, by UCAS in the UK, and by most universities in the United States and Australia. Students who earn the OSSD through USCA Academy apply to university through OUAC on exactly the same footing as any other Ontario graduate.
Students arriving from any national curriculum, including IB, IGCSE, CBSE, and WAEC, have their previous transcripts assessed for equivalent Ontario credit. You do not repeat subjects you have already passed.
