North York schools serve some of the largest student populations in the city. In classes of 30 or more, capable students aren't stretched, and students who fall behind are often noticed only at report-card time.

Grades 1–8A child needs stronger reading, writing or math foundations before high school.
Grade 11–12A student needs a higher mark in MHF4U, MCV4U, SCH4U or ENG4U for university.
