About USCA Academy

USCA Academy is a registered private school with the Ministry of Education. Our school is an international high school that offers: ESL programs, Ontario High School and University Preparation programs in addition to daily tutoring and one-on-one classes.

The school is located in the city centre of Mississauga (25 minutes to downtown Toronto ). It is close to the City Hall, Libraries, Square One, banks, etc. The school owns beautiful campus scenery, features a quiet learning environment, convenient transportation and all living convenience.

High School Diploma
(Students of any age)

Students who complete 30.0 credits of Ontario High School courses, will earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), and can also apply to any Canadian and/or International Universities.

Of these 30.0 credits, 18.0 consist of compulsory courses and 12.0 consist of elective courses which may be chosen. All students will be required to provide either valid transcripts for credit transfers or to complete 30.0 credits here in Ontario to qualify for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

Who Can Apply?

Students currently attending middle school (Grade 8 and below) or current course-takers for Grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 (or current course takers in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB), O-level)

University Preparation Program
(Grade 12 Students Only)

The University Preparation Program (UPC) is a program for international students who have a high school diploma from their home country and would like to qualify or transfer to a Canadian university.

Students should choose 6 credit courses for their university application based on their career plans. This aims to help students enhance their academic comprehensive ability and English skills, and make sufficient preparation for entering university in a short time. The total program time is approximately 6 months.

Who can apply?

Students who have graduated from high school and have already obtained a high school diploma (or are graduates from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program(IB), O-level)

English as a Second Language (ESL)
(Students of any age)

USCA’s ESL program includes five levels: ESLAO, ESLBO, ESLCO, ESLDO, ESLEO.

It takes approximately 7 weeks to finish each level. Learning contents include Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing。

Under the ESL program USCA academy also offers students the ability to study and write the IELTS Exam. Some international students may require the IELTS exam in order to be accepted into university. If you think that you may be one of these students please do not hesitate to contact our office where we can assist you with any IELTS questions you may have.

Credit Transfers

For credit transfers, USCA Academy will evaluate courses taken in the home countries of our international students. The academy will then compare the completed courses with current and past available Canadian courses to determine  the number of equivalent high school credits for which the student may be granted.
